101 Days Countdown & Day 5 of Blogging, Scientific Method, Getting Organized Habits

101 days until my birthday.

Today is day 4 of acquiring the 21 day habit of confidence by utilizing the book ‘the confidence gap’ by Russ Harris.

I read chapter 4.

I did some exercises wherein I had to notice what was going through my mind after reading what Russ had said in the book.

“ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Training) assumes that negative thoughts are not inherently problematic.”

I have assumed that negative thoughts are inherently problematic.

“Negative thoughts only become problematic if we get all caught up in them, give them all our attention, treat them as the gospel truth, allow them to control us, or get into a fight with them. The technical term for responding to our thoughts in this way is “fusion”.”

Presupposes there exists an act of getting all caught up in negative thoughts.

Presupposes there exists an act of giving negative thoughts all your attention.

Presupposes there exists an act of treating your negative thoughts as the gospel truth.

Presupposes there exists an act of allow your negative thoughts to control you.

Presupposes there exists an act of getting into a fight with your negative thoughts.

It’s hard to deal with your negative thoughts.

“When I talk about being fused with your thoughts, I mean there is no separation from them. In a state of fusion, we are completely entangled by our thoughts: we are caught up in them, pushed around by them, lost in them, or fighting with them.”

Presupposes there exists an act of being completely entangled by your thoughts.

Presupposes there exists an act of being caught up in your thoughts.

Presupposes there exists an act of being pushed around by your thoughts.

Presupposes there exists an act of being lost in your thoughts.

Presupposes there exists an act of fighting with your thoughts.

“… when we fuse with our thoughts, they have a huge impact on and influence over us. But when we defuse from our thoughts-when we separate from them and realize that they are nothing more nor less than words and pictures–then they have little or no effect on us (even if they happen to be true).”

Presupposes there exists an act of fusing with your thoughts.

Defusing means separating.

Presupposes there exists an act of separating from your thoughts.

Presupposes there exists an act of realizing that your thoughts are nothing more nor less than words and pictures.

If you separate from your thoughts and realize that they are nothing more nor less than words and pictures–then they have little or no effect on you (even if they happen to be true).

How do you fuse and defuse from your thoughts?

Today’s day 5 of acquring the habit of GTD and more specifically, GTD – Organizing.

“It’s critical that all of these categories be kept pristinely distinct from one another. They each represent a discrete type of agreement we make with ourselves, and if they lose their edges and begin to blend, much of the value of organizing will be lost.”

Keep all of these categories pristinely distinct from one another.

Today’s day 5 of acquring the habit of getting organized, and more specifically, utilizing Alejandra’s PPP.

At 21:56, I watched video 4 “4. Life Event”.

In video 4, she mentions the 2nd letter of the word C.L.U.T.T.E.R., L, which stands for Life Event.

An example of a “big event” in my life that is affecting my clutter is working on becoming a full-time digital marketing consultant.

I said I’ll complete watching module 1’s videos 4 – 9 by Sat. Sept. 10th, 2016.

But I procrastinated and I’m going to a bar to watch UFC 203.

I’ve been going to Boston Pizza to watch UFC lately.

But I’m curious as to how CM Punk will handle his UFC debut tonight.

So I’m not gonna finish the rest of the videos.

I started last Wednesday anyway, so I’ll finish by this Tuesday September 13th, 2016, then start module 2 the next day.

I need to and must review what I write in order to keep my resolutions.

Today’s the 4th day habit of scientific method.

“Read, skip, and skim publications and the internet for data, ideas, and triggers for ideas for a scientific method solution.”

Today’s day 3 of acquiring the habit of being a full-time digital marketing consultant/SEO, meaning I spend at least 8 hours everyday including weekends being a digital marketing consultant/SEO until further notice.
